About Bodacious Broads Travel Blog

Hi, I’m Gayle Crabtree. I believe you don’t have to spend a fortune—or have a perfect trip—to make wonderful memories.

Bodacious Broads Travel Blog is where I share affordable places to go, scenic drives, small-town discoveries, and the practical details I wish I’d known before leaving home. Sometimes my husband, John, comes along. Sometimes one of our dogs joins the adventure. And sometimes the best story is what happened when the plan went sideways!

I travel with a disability, so I pay attention to things that can make an outing easier: how much walking is involved, where to park, what to pack, and whether a stop is worth the effort. I’ll share what worked for me and be honest about what didn’t. You’ll also find ideas for enjoying places close to home, because an adventure doesn’t have to be far away.

My motto is “Be Bodacious—don’t let life get in the way of living.” To me, that means making room for joy, curiosity, and the occasional unexpected detour.

I’m glad you’re here. Take a look around, find a place that interests you, and come along for the ride.
